Winter 2025

Winter was full of things, most notably our trip to Disney World/Lego Land (which will get it's own entry). The boys stayed with grandparents while we had our yearly MLK cabin trip, we had some good snow days, Corban played basketball, and both boys were busy with Scout activities.

Taylor and the boys drove to IKEA in Charlotte one day when school was out to get some more bookshelves for the guest room. Each of them has some (more) shelves for books and things. Corban took great care getting his Legos organized for display:

Corban's Cub Scout troop sure does a lot of fun activities. Gabriel tags along for some of them as well. Not pictured are Gabriel's scout activities, including an all night lock-in at a rock climbing gym and, weekly meetings to work on skills, and a merit badge day at VT that he attended.

Youth group parent appreciation dinner. Harry Potter themed and so detailed and creative. Gabriel and a couple friends were hanging out in The Leaky Cauldron while the parents had dessert and coffee.

The 6th and 7th graders took a field trip to Fort Monroe/Williamsburg/Jamestown. Taylor went along as well and they had a lot of fun touring, but also hanging out at the hotel swimming and playing video games:

Corban and I made the most of our time at home. We did a favorite thing -
got Red Robin and ate it while watching a movie. Corban ate
salmon, shrimp, a lobster tail, and cheddar biscuits.

Corban's class took a field trip to the Green Valley Book Fair. He had fun driving up with a car full of boys (mom was very tired after that driving):
