10 Months

Corban was 10 months old a couple days ago.  He has taken some major mobility leaps the last week or so.  He pulls up on everything, stands for several seconds on his own, and is starting to move around the room holding onto things.  Since he can now stand he wants to be doing that most of the time and when I go to get him after nap time he is usually standing in his crib in his sleep sack that he still loves so much.

He still eats lots of different table foods and has decided that he now really likes eggs.  It's hard to know a "favorite" food but he really likes yogurt, peanut butter, eggs, bananas rolled in Cheerios, cheese, cheese toast, and veggie packs (even though we try to have him eat vegetables that we've made.  When we're in the grocery store and he sees those prepared packets he gets super excited.  If that's what he needs to make it through the shopping trip that's fine with me).

Other random things that Corban likes: ceiling fans, his play table, books and sitting next to his book basket, pulling things out of the play kitchen, playing in the water/taking baths, rolling balls around on the floor, the Baby Einstein "Baby's First Sounds" DVD, holding the baby monitor base in his bedroom, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", laughing at the weird noises that his brother makes, trying to pull Loki's hair, trying to eat Loki's food, riding in the Ergo, and making really loud noises when he's excited.

In Gabriel news, he got a bicycle, although he has yet to really figure out how to ride it.  There isn't a great place in our yard or driveway so we need to find more time to take him somewhere to practice.  He's still taking violin lessons once a week and he also recently started going to a Ninja Zone class instead of Romp and Roll.  He really enjoys it.  Lots of running, jumping, climbing, and rolling.  It tires him out (who knew that anything could!).

We took Gabriel to his first movie last week (we've taken him to some free ones but never actually paid for go out to one).  We went to see Finding Dory and he had so much fun.  We asked him if he wanted to invite anyone else along but we was insistent that he wanted to go out just with Mom and Dad.  We had a really good time.

We have started letting him take naps on top of his bunk bed.  It makes me a little nervous but he really gets excited about it and doesn't try to get down.  He usually pulls the curtains open and plays up there for a while before he goes to sleep.

It's nice to see Gabriel and Corban starting to try and play together.  Gabriel of course doesn't want to share and can get a little rough, but he also tries hard to make Corban laugh and frequently hugs him and tells him that he loves him.  It's sweet to see.
