11 Months

Corban is now 11 months old.  I can't believe that it's just a month until his first birthday.  This year has seemed both very short and very long at the same time. 

He isn't walking yet, but he's all over the place.  He mostly still army crawls but is starting to get up on his hands and knees sometimes.  He is a fast army crawler though.  A woman at the library the other day said he should be teaching guys in the military.  He pulls up on everything and wants to touch everything he can.  He still eats and eats and eats when it comes to table food and takes his two naps pretty much like clockwork (9-10:30 and 1:30-3).  He's constantly drooling and being loud and happy.  He needs his sleep sack in the crib to sleep, even if he's not wearing it.  When someone talks to him and I'm holding him he frequently buries his head in my neck.  He's a silly happy boy.

Gabriel still lives in the land of make believe, acting out movies and wanting to run and jump and be loud.  He also loves to read still and listen to both music and books on CD in his room.  He is currently asleep on top of his bunk bed, where he passed out listening to a story about some kids who make friends with a gorilla.

When it comes to his pretend play, everyone in the family has very specific roles that are not to be changed when we're running around playing.  I'm sure that I'm missing some, but some of our parts from movies that come to mind are as follows (movie listed first, then parts):

I took a little trip to Atlanta with the boys last week.  It was so fun to see family and friends and to see Gabriel actually starting to play with and have fun with his cousins.  I wish I'd taken more pictures but it was a crazy and tiring week.  Gabriel didn't sleep well while we were away.  We did get plenty of play time though and even got a trip to the zoo.
