How is he 10? This year Tiffany shared the below picture of a couple days after Gabriel was born and it's one that I don't remember ever seeing before. He was so tiny and now he's 10?!?
Hazel's birthday is just a couple days before Gabriel's and this is him at her party:
Gabriel's birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year so we celebrated his birthday at home before we left for Georgia. He wanted to watch both Sonic movies in a row with his friends and that seemed like a realistic thing to do, so we invited all of the boys in his class over the Saturday before Thanksgiving (as a side note I have never put up the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving but looking at the coming trip and our schedule after that it was either the day before Gabriel's party or about 2 weeks into December and I didn't want to wait that long)
The day before Thanksgiving break started Gabriel's class had a Thanksgiving party so I sent in some cupcakes and they sang Happy Birthday to him that day as well.
The day before his birthday we went to the Harry Potter exhibition in Atlanta. It was really neat. There were props and costumes from the movie as well as interactive games and pictures linked to your wristband. They got to pick houses, wands, and a petronus,
On his actual birthday (Thanksgiving Day) Gabriel wanted bacon and roll kuchen (which is something I've never made but Taylor told Gabriel about Gammer knowing how to make it and he wanted to have it that day. Can't go wrong with fried dough and powdered sugar). Then he opened presents and played a lot of Minecraft with Corban and Drew, which was a perfect day to him. Then he got to have pie and another mini birthday at Grandma Chery's the Saturday after Thanksgiving and more cake and a mini birthday at the Bergeron house on Sunday. We just celebrated over and over :)
So Happy 10th Birthday to the kid who loves Minecraft, Sonic, Wingfeather Saga, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, violin, making movies and episodes of shows (both using his Legos and a movie making app), math, science, his friends, and good conversation. He has so much energy and is exceedingly kind and inclusive of all of those around him. He is stubborn and confident and quick witted and passionate and always wants justice. I love to see how the interests and and traits that he's had since he was young are becoming more defined as he gets older and I'm proud of him for how hard he works every day to make good choices and really think through things.
